Job Description

The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with electrical conduction disorders of the heart through advanced, minimally invasive procedures performed in a state-of-the-art operating room environment. A highly skilled multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and technologists works together to provide exceptional care while utilizing the latest cardiac technologies. As a Surgical Service Support Technician in the EP Lab, you will play an essential role in ensuring the department operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities include transporting patients throughout their care journey, preparing and cleaning procedure rooms between cases, stocking supplies and equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized environment that supports high-quality patient care. Working alongside nurses, physicians, EP technologists, and other support teams, you will help facilitate seamless patient flow and efficient daily operations. Through close collaboration with clinical staff, environmental services, and supply teams, you will contribute to a safe, well-prepared procedural environment while helping deliver timely, compassionate care to every patient. A caregiver in this position works day s , 10:30am—7:00pm . No Holidays/Weekends. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing requests . Assist nursing caregivers during surgical cases as requested . Maintain and control support services equipment and supplies. Maintain the OR in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition. Enter job tasks into electronic computer software systems. Assist in prepping and shaving patients for surgery. Coordinate and maintain uniform room activities, such as locker assignments and scrubs. Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste. Comply with special cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infection control surgical cases. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or GED Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or willing to obtain within the new hire period One year of customer service experience
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including ability to lift and/or bear the weight of 100 pounds with assistance, or more while pulling, lifting, pushing and transferring patients to and from various apparatus; regularly pushes moderate to heavy weight of 100 pounds or more. Exposure to body fluids. Must be available for flexible scheduling according to the needs of the surgical area. Floating may be expected per assignment policies within the surgical support department.

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$18.50 Maximum hourly: $25.20 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
