1 Description American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for a children's hospital setting, requiring 3 years of experience and BLS certification. Details Works in a pediatric hospital EEG department serving a diverse patient population across multiple care settings Preferred work settings include Adult ICU, Adult Inpatient, Adult Outpatient, ED, Level 1 Trauma, NICU, and PICU Procedures include electrode placement, portable recording, sleep EEG, sleep-deprived EEG, long-term/video monitoring, ambulatory EEG, evoked potentials (auditory, motor, somatosensory, visual), ECI brain death studies, and assistance with EMG/nerve conduction studies Epic EMR (preferred) 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Floating to different units is a requirement for this position Teaching hospital, community hospital, and trauma experience preferred Requirements Minimum of 3 years of EEG technologist experience required Current BLS required ABRET certification preferred Must have 2 supervisor or manager references for consideration, with at least one being a manager or supervisor License required if applicable Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Cannot have worked permanently at this facility within the last 2 years Additional Information Check, operate, and calibrate electromyographic equipment in accordance with standard procedures First-time travelers will be considered for this position Orientation begins on a Monday; candidates must be flexible during the first two weeks as the schedule may vary No call/no-show incidents are taken very seriously by this facility
