1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Monitor Technician I for a Telemetry unit, requiring at least one year of experience and travel healthcare experience. Details Work in a Telemetry unit monitoring patients connected to telemetry equipment Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly Previous travel healthcare experience required Requirements Minimum of one year of relevant experience Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire Basic knowledge of arrhythmia interpretation and ECG tracings helpful Strong computer and interpersonal skills License required if applicable Additional Information Monitor telemetry patients once connected by nursing staff Check rhythm strips for accurate date/time printouts and provide daily printouts for each patient Maintain appropriate alarm settings and assist in troubleshooting monitor equipment Alert nursing staff when a patient is in crisis Perform ECGs as needed and maintain monitor area supplies Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must begin promptly after booking Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to meet compliance timelines Returning workers may extend a contract only once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
