Explains test procedures to patients, sets up and runs equipment and monitors readings. Provides reports and readings from the test to a physician for analysis.

Wage Range:
$25.08 - $43.09 per hour Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary:
Performs electrocardiograms, maintenance of electrocardiography equipment, and organization of electrocardiogram area activities.
Primary Duties:
Performs electrocardiogram procedure according to policy on routine and STAT requests and distributes interpreted EKGS to appropriate locations. Perform billing duties for EKG area. Align priorities with Manager for electrocardiogram procedures (EKG, Holter Monitors, Treadmill testing, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Adenosine Nuclear studies) as needed. Recognizes life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias and communicates this to the physician and or appropriate patient care units at time of testing. Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED
for the position: High School graduate or equivalent Current Healthcare Provider BLS - American Heart Association by start date DESIRED for the position: 1 year of EKG experience in a similar setting One of the following certifications: Certified EKG Technician (CET), Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT)
