1 Description American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, with a minimum of 1 year of experience or registered tech status required. Details Works in a Neuro Diagnostics/EEG department within a 500-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital Patient populations include adults, NICU, and PICU, with preferred experience in Adult ICU, Emergency Department, and Level I Trauma settings Procedures include ambulatory EEG, electrode placement, seizure studies, long-term/video monitoring, sleep EEG, sleep-deprived EEG, portable recording, evoked potentials (auditory, motor, somatosensory/SSEP, visual), ECI brain death studies, and assistance with EMG/nerve conduction studies Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM No weekend, on-call, or floating requirements
EMR:
Epic — experience required Requirements Minimum of 1 year of EEG experience, or registration as an EEG technologist Active BLS certification required; ABRET, R.EEGT, and REPT certifications preferred Epic EMR experience required Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred Collodion experience preferred COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions Two professional references required for consideration; supervisory references preferred License required if applicable Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction Prior UW Health staff must have an 18-month separation from the facility before being eligible to return as a traveler RTO is not accommodated during the first two weeks of the assignment; keep RTO requests to a minimum throughout the contract Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed prior to the start date (approximately 2-3 hours for Allied clinicians); additional WA state suicide prevention training (approx. 6 hours) may be required depending on work area Any solid color scrubs are acceptable; light blue scrubs are also provided on the unit Onsite parking is available at a daily cost; an offsite parking option approximately 1 mile away with a 10-minute shuttle service is also available on weekdays
