LOCATION
El Toro High School, Saddleback Valley Unified School District __________________________________________________________________________________________THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Administrator of Educational Services, provides entry-level occupational instruction for students entering the emergency medical service field.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruct high school students and adults in a classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate student records including grades, progress reports and attendance.
- Assist in curriculum development and/or revision.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with approved course outline.
- Participate in annual advisory committee meetings, staff meetings and professional development activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Firefighter, Firefighter/Paramedic, Paramedic or EMT required.
- Three (3) years of related work experience or one (1) year related work experience and 48 semester hours of related postsecondary vocational training.
- Possess or be eligible for a Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential.
Note:
Teaching Credential:
The successful candidate must qualify for or possess a valid Three-Year Preliminary or Five-Year Clear Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Credential, including English Second Language Certification. Coastline ROP will assist you in starting the credentialing process.
