JOB SUMMARY
The House Monitors are responsible for monitoring the safety and security of Phase 1 or Phase 2 Hope Has a Home Medical Respite Program at Volunteers of America. Assist with the day to day operations and monitoring both the clients, internal environment and surrounding grounds. The House Monitor reports to the Sr. Program Director and is a key member of the Medical Respite Multi-disciplinary treatment Team. The role of the House Monitors is to oversee the daily operations of the house and all the residents ensuring the programmatic structure is being followed. Overall, The House Monitor will support the staff.RESPONSIBILITIES
Appropriately respond to any crisis, emergency or trauma which occurs De-escalating potential resident conflicts. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all agency and resident information. Monitor completion of resident chores and programmatic structure. Conduct a residential headcount/bed check a minimum of three times per shift. Maintain food and supply inventory. Sign in and out residents and guests, and periodic walk through of building to account for all building occupants Periodic inspection of resident rooms for tidiness or presence of contraband Communication with staff related to residents adherence to program rules and expectations. Routine inspections for purposes of fire and safety code compliances and other safety violations; running safety drills Responsibility for answering the phones while on duty, responding to any voice mail messages left on house phone during shift. Maintain log of all incidents and pertinent activities and noteworthy house/ resident itemsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
