Overview:

Leopard Transport of Central Florida is a non-emergency BLS and paratransit transportation company. We serve patients in The Villages, Lake County, and surrounding areas with their medical transportation needs. We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians to join our team in providing care services.

Role:

Provide patients with support treatment, care, and evaluations prior to, and during, transportation.

Duties:

Identify, monitor and evaluate patients during transport, under the direction of the medical director and protocols Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate Complete required reports in a timely manner for each patient transport Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public Monitor and anticipate needs for additional equipment and appropriately secure tools to meet patient care demands during transport Operate emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance with established safety standards. Effectively communicate delays and updates to dispatch. Immediately report any damage or vehicle issues to the supervisor Maintain equipment between transports, and keep the unit in a constant state of readiness

Qualifications:

FL State EMT license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Valid Class E State Driver's License, or Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and driving record in accordance with facility policy Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), or Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC), or Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety. Certificate must state 16 hours or an accompanying letter from the school certifying that the course taken and completed was 16 hours
