THIS IS A EMT POSITION IN ALLEN COUNTY
(FORT WAYNE), INDIANA.
THIS IS FOR 12 OR 24 HOUR SHIFTS
(BASED ON NEED). PAY IS $18.00-$20.25/HOUR
AND YOU WILL WORK 48 HOURS PER WEEK. ABOUT HEARTLAND AMBULANCE
We are a private ambulance provider in Indiana with a mission to provide the highest quality of care. We recognize that each patient has individual needs, which comprise the total person, and we have the responsibility to assist patients with their healthcare needs, while creating a positive work environment for our team members. We are a growing company and are always looking for good Paramedics and EMT's to join our team, full or part-time. Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT ) Our EMT's are a vital part of our business. In this role, you will be responsible for the proper and ethical treatment of patients. You will provide emergency medical care, patient assessment and care, transport services, and other services while respecting confidentiality rules, following protocols, and practicing professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have valid State Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT) certification Current CPR certification (Classes offered for free) Current and valid Driver's License High School Diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years of age No more than 2 accidents &/or moving violations in the last 3 yrs
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company equipment. Basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons. Providing emergency medical treatment, Prepares inventories and stocks supplies and inspects equipment for proper operation. Cleans and disinfects interior of ambulance. Cleans and details exterior of ambulance. Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness and proper stocking of the ambulance, company vehicles, equipment, office, lounge, and bathrooms. Must be able to safely lift, transfer and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences and other locations.
