Must be able to perform all essential job functions of an Paramedic lifting/moving patients, bending, squatting, sitting, pushing & pulling a stretcher etc. in addition to all medical functions as licensed by the State of Indiana Department of Homeland Security(IDHS). Must be able to Lift up to 250 lbs with a partner. Must attend all company-mandated orientations, training's & meetings. Must keep State Licensure Current with the hospital system we are associated with as well as in good standing with the State of Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) which includes staying current with mandated CE & Certifications. Must comply with all company policies & procedures.
The Paramedic job function is:
To provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in their training as an Medic. To provide safe transportation, to include accurately discerning street names through map reading, the ability to correctly distinguish house numbers, and addresses of business locations, in the most expedient manner, are essential. To appropriately assess a patient and accurately convey the condition to other medical professionals. To provide an accurate written report describing a patient's condition, medical history, and the treatment provided. To provide appropriate documentation for billing information. To maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition, in addition to monitoring all fluid levels and gauges. We are looking for FULL Time Paramedics Location including: Merrillville Must possess a valid Indiana Paramedic State License and NREMT Cert. Current Health Care Provider CPR Card Valid Indiana Driver License & clean driving record Must be willing to attend company provided driving course & training
