• Paramedic (E.

M.T.P) is a medical technician on the ambulance who is trained to administer prompt and efficient pre-hospital care to the patient on an ALS level. All of the responsibilities will be performed with an attitude supportive to change, and the employee will be expected to accept the responsibility for maintaining an acceptable attendance pattern. All employees will be expected to contribute and participate, when requested, in the Medical Center's Performance Improvement Programs, and perform as a team member. In addition, all of the responsibilities will be accomplished in a manner that will not have a negative impact on the employee relations' efforts of this department or the Medical Center. The direct patient care provider in this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The employee in this position must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs. The employee must be able to provide the assistance needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Each of the responsibilities will be accomplished in a safe manner that will prevent injury to the customers and employees. GED /

High School Diploma:

R Current Certification(s): NREMT-P

• State of La EMT-P
• AHA CPR Healthcare Provider
• Defensive Driving and Hazmat Awareness required.

ACLS, PALS and PHTLS preferred Licenses(s): Jefferson Parish Permit R Registration(s): Related Experience 2 years of EMS related experience required
