POSITION SUMMARY
Works with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality compassionate care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. Performs activities which assist the patient in meeting basic human needs and activities of daily living, providing basic patient care to patients under the direction of the RN, LPN, Paramedic, mid-level provider, or physician. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must have certification in Basic Life Support upon hire or receive certification within new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment. CPI-Advanced Physical Skills- receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment.
EXPERIENCE
At least one (1) recent year experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, Clinical Medical Assistant/Certified Nurse Assistant or at least one (1) current year patient care experience. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English and have basic personal computer skills. Must be capable of taking swift and efficient action, including patient restraint when responding to patient emergency codes. We take great care of careers.
