Maintains BCLS certification.
EMT licensure preferred.

Promotes personal and patient safety and consistently demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Maintains professional working relationships with patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including assisting with comfort measures, recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition, documenting observations accurately, and assisting with procedures. Communicates effectively with patients' families, maintains patient confidentiality, and follows standard precautions and infection control practices. Coordinates patient flow by assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, and communication with appropriate departments. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties, including answering telephones, processing messages, obtaining medical records, filing patient documentation, coordinating room readiness with Environmental Services, maintaining office supplies, communicating with physician offices, responding to patient call systems, and completing other assigned responsibilities in support of efficient unit operations.QualificationsWhat's Required Minimum one-year emergency/urgent care/nursing assistant experience required or college education equivalent.
