Job Summary Provides basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Requires the knowledge, technique, and communication skills to therapeutically meet the needs of assigned Med-Serg Patients. Responsible for performing a variety of assigned tasks. Must be able to identify each patient's age-specific needs and provide appropriate care. Job Specification Minimum Education Required A high school graduate or equivalent Minimum Experience Required 1 year Medical-Surgical Nurse Aid experience preferred. Licensure/Certification Required Successful completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program preferred. Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire). Skills A commitment to service excellence and performance improvement. Excellent interpersonal skills, with legible penmanship and computer knowledge. Posses the ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, communicate with RN/GN staff to report changes in patients conditions. Ability to provide direct patient care to the Med-Surg patient. Shifts Rotation
