Job Description

Summary Under the supervision of the Manager, assists with clinical and patient care activities in the Emergency Department. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Must possess one of the following: Current certification to practice as a paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Current National Registry Certification as a paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Completion of an approved medical assistant training program. Three years of equivalent clinical work experience. Completion of a nurse internship program in an Emergency care setting or 1 year experience as an Emergency Department Care Assistant and enrollment to begin final year of an accredited Nursing program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Preferred Qualifications Two years of direct patient care experience. Phlebotomy and electrocardiogram (EKG) experience. Emergency Department and/or pre-hospital care experience.
