Emergency Medical Services - PRN

An employee in this position provides medical transport services to the public under emergency and non-emergency conditions on an as needed basis.

Essestial Job Functions:

Monitors patient care in emergency and non-emergency patient transfers, which includes checking vital signs and spine immobilization. Provides advanced life support and basic life support treatment and cardiac monitoring in emergency situations. Documents patient care. Performs routine maintenance on assigned emergency vehicle. Qualifications Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalency. Must have minimum certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic or Intermediate; Emergency Medical Paramedic preferred. Maintains certification by the American Heart Association in BCLS and State Approved Defensive Driving. Must be Able to perform all essential job functions. Special Requirements Possession of a Class C Texas drives license and an acceptable driving record. All City facilities are tobacco free. Miscellaneous Information
