1 Description American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Technician for an outpatient endoscopy center, requiring Endo Tech certification and BLS. Details Outpatient endoscopy center setting Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM 1:1 patient ratio Procedures include colonoscopy and EGD Requirements Endo Tech certification required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience required License required if applicable Experience with procedural assistance including biopsy assistance, procedure setup, and room turnover Experience cleaning and caring for colonoscopes, EGD scopes, and flex sigmoidoscopes Experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures Experience with equipment including dilators, endoscopes, ERBE units, polyp snares, and washer/sterilizers Knowledge of infection control and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures Experience with specimen handling and labeling Additional Information Assist physicians and healthcare providers with endoscopy procedures for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease Distribute supplies and perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, and setup Restock room supplies and supply room carts Close and turn over procedure rooms at end of day Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies to ensure patient privacy and safety Accepts local candidates at a local rate 50-mile radius rule applies Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Compliance labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
