Come join an amazing team culture and atmosphere. Full-time High volume, private, outpatient endoscopy center located in Atlanta, GA is looking for a fulltime GI Technician Responsible for setting up and assisting physicians during cases. Handling of endoscopic supplies and physician support High-level disinfection of endoscopy equipment and scopes; within the established guidelines/policies of DHEC and the manufacturer. Operates and troubleshoots endoscopy equipment. Ensures that scopes are turned over in a timely manner. Responsible for knowledge of scope cleaning equipment and the potential exposure to hazardous materials.

• Responsible to wear proper personal protective equipment at all times.

Requirements:

Current BCLS Certification Knowledge:

Knowledge of GI endoscopy experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to chart information.

Skills:

Scope care and maintenance

• Skills in testing, washing and disinfecting endoscopy scopes and equipment. Setting up and closing the scope processing room. Maintaining and updating patient information associated with scope cleaning and logs. Validation of equipment and processes are required.
