Job Description

Work Shift:
Under the general supervision of a registered nurse, assists in ensuring an effectively organized and operational unit through appropriate cleaning, care, disinfection, ordering and utilization of instruments and equipment. Provides needed supplies in accordance with Houston Healthcare's Plan for the Provision of Nursing Care, standards of care and standards of performance. Assists with patient care as directed. Current BLS required. A.
Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent. B.
Experience:
Six (6) months hospital or physician specialty office. C.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current
AHA/ARC BLS
certification. D.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment. Knowledge of procedures and techniques in administering and providing basic patient care services. Knowledge of medical terminology. Effective communication skills, solid team player and a commitment to providing excellent patient service and professionalism.
