It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Under the direction of an RN and/or physician, the Endoscopy technician assists with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including transporting patients, disinfecting and process equipment, preparing the procedure room, and assisting in patient care. Responsibilities Processes instruments and equipment, orders and keeps inventory of supplies, and maintains equipment. Maintains database for endoscopy, and keeps accurate statistics pertinent to endoscopy. Transports patients and assists patients with changing. Trains staff in areas specific to endoscopy instrument processing, supplies and the maintenance of equipment.
