OVERVIEW
The nurse helps manage and maintain Endoscopy equipment and supplies, including ordering, restocking, and checking equipment for problems. They assist doctors during GI procedures, work with other departments to control costs and solve equipment issues, and follow quality and safety standards.

40-hours per week
SHIFT:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as resource person for Endoscopy equipment used. Evaluates new equipment, orders and restocks supplies. Does periodic check of schedule for specific supplies, requests by physicians/Lead RN. Works with Materials to stay within contact to control costs. Independently assists physician procedures in general GI and interventional GI cases. Communicates with appropriate departments concerning equipment problems. Participates in Quality Management program, standards, policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Education or equivalent preferred
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Active on CNA registry or Active LPN license in state of practice preferred. Approved CPR certification required within 90 days (Other certification per unit requirements:
ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP
)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
May include color blind test (per department guidelines)

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
