Jobs › Lawrence, MA › Endoscopy Technician Lawrence General Hospital Endoscopy Technician Lawrence, MA Apply As the Endoscopy Technician, you will assist with the operation and clinical aspects of the unit. Primary responsibilities are care and maintenance of endoscopic equipment and patient care activities under the direction of the physician and registered nurse. Maintains the endoscopy suite with supplies, and restock as needed. Prepares and sets up equipment, assures all equipment is in working order prior to patient procedures. Maintains all areas of the endoscopy suite with supplies in a clean and orderly manner, restocking as necessary. Clean rooms follow procedures complying with point of use instructions for endoscopes and infection control standards for cleaning patient care areas post procedure. Performs all aspects of High Level Disinfection (HLD) for endoscope reprocessing. Sends specific instrumentation to Sterile Processing for decontamination and sterilization as necessary. Maintains scope equipment and endoscopic reprocessing equipment in accordance to manufacturer's instructions for use (IFUs). Documents in logbooks regarding endoscopic equipment and processing per policy. Assists department head and Lead Endoscopy Tech in completing bi-annual scope reprocessing competencies for all Endoscopy clinical and technical staff. Maintains all areas of the endoscopy suite with supplies in a clean and orderly manner, restocking as necessary. Cooperates and assists with giving patient care and patient transport under the direction of the registered nurse. Assists the MD with endoscopic procedures, patient positioning and specimen collection per Laboratory Policy, under the direction of the clinical team of MD and RN. Assist the receptionist with answering the telephone, providing information and scheduling appointments. Work with the team to turn over rooms by preparing the area for the next case efficiently. Attends required meetings and in-service. Performs related works as required.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required BLS (Basic Life Support Certification)
Preferred:
