Overview Endoscopy Technician-Per Diem St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center. The Endoscopy Technician prepares, maintains, and operates specialized equipment while assisting physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures
Job Details Responsibilities:
Set up, sterilize, and troubleshoot endoscopes Pass instruments during procedures (e.g., colonoscopies) Handle pathology specimens, monitor patient vitals, and clean/restock suites post-procedure
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Certified Endoscopy Technician (CET)REQUIRED credential Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association Experience-1-2 years in healthcare preferred Must know infection control, medical terminology, and have the physical stamina to stand for long periods The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
