Endoscopy Technician Northwest Ohio Endoscopy Center - 4.0 Toledo, OH Job Details Part-time 4 days ago Qualifications Patient comfort Gastroenterology Medical equipment sterilization Endoscopy Maintaining an organized workspace Patient safety Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise High school diploma or GED Disinfection procedures Quality control Medical equipment cleaning Decontamination Clean workspace maintenance Entry level Full Job Description Key Responsibilities Procedure Room Support (as assigned): Assist physicians and nursing staff during endoscopic procedures Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies Position patients and ensure their comfort and safety Anticipate provider needs during procedures Assist with specimen handling per policy Maintain a clean, safe, and organized procedure environment Scope Reprocessing (as assigned): Clean, disinfect, and reprocess endoscopes according to established guidelines and regulatory standards Perform leak testing and quality checks on scopes Maintain accurate documentation and logs Ensure proper storage and readiness of scopes Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience as an endoscopy or GI technician preferred (training provided for the right candidate) Knowledge of infection control and reprocessing standards is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Team-oriented mindset with a positive, dependable attitude Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed Manual dexterity for handling instruments and equipment Why Join Us?
