Farragut, TN Description Seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a Contract to Hire opportunity. The Endoscopy Tech will play a critical role in supporting gastroenterologists and nurses during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort and high-quality care.

• Prepare procedure rooms, maintain and disinfect specialized equipment, assists clinicians during diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures.
• Prepare endoscopes, light sources, cameras, and monitors before procedures, ensuring everything works safely.
• Support physicians and nurses during procedures like colonoscopies and upper endoscopies by handling tools and monitoring equipment.
• Clean, decontaminate, and perform high-level disinfection on delicate endoscopes following strict manufacturer rules.
• Help position patients comfortably, ease their anxiety, and monitor vital signs or reactions.
• Collect, label, and document biopsy specimens, while tracking and restocking medical supplies. Qualifications
• 1+ year of relevant experience
• Understanding of endoscope mechanics, troubleshooting, and strict sterilization protocols
• Ability to stand for long hours and help transport patients or heavy supplies
• Strong verbal skills to coordinate smoothly with the medical team and reassure nervous patients
• Min high school diploma
• On-the-job training or Certification paths such as Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) Understanding of endoscope mechanics, troubleshooting, and sterilization protocols
