Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Endoscopy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support gastroenterology procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and equipment reprocessing. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support to assist with endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and other gastrointestinal interventions. Duties Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, including colonoscopies and other gastroenterological interventions. Prepare and position patients for endoscopic examinations, providing compassionate patient care throughout the process. Reprocess endoscopes and related equipment following strict infection prevention protocols to ensure safety and compliance. Support the clinical team by handling equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of endoscopic tools. Maintain accurate documentation related to procedures, patient information, and equipment sterilization. Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately in accordance with basic life support procedures when necessary. Educate patients about procedures, addressing questions related to anatomy, medical terminology, and the process involved in endoscopy. Qualifications Certification as an Endoscopy Technician or equivalent credential. Proven experience assisting with endoscopic procedures within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of gastrointestinal anatomy and medical terminology relevant to endoscopy. Competency in endoscope reprocessing and infection control practices. Current certification in CPR/BLS. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
