Job Description

Focus is looking for a passionate Exercise Specialist with exceptional communication skills. Our Exercise Specialists are adaptive and collaborative to ensure productive clinic flow and positive patient outcomes.
Outcomes:
Achieves and maintains proficiency with Tier 1 exercises by 30th day of employment Achieves and maintains proficiency with Tier 2 exercises by 90th day of employment Working knowledge of Tier 3 exercises by 6 months of employment Manage 3-4 clients with exercises and modalities efficiently
Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service Clinic flow management Balances working with clients during exercise portion of treatment with setting up clients on modalities and bringing clients back to treatment area Manages time spent on exercise and modalities based on time in clinic and table availability Communicates with Physical Therapists (PT's) to prioritize client's needs to make the most of treatment time Exercise expertise Working knowledge of proper form, technique and execution of exercises used daily (Level 1, 2 & 3 Exercises) Teaches and cues exercises prescribed by PT's in effective and efficient manner Corrects improper form and technique; knows when to have PT step in when pain or deficiency is present Physical Therapist assistance Anticipates needs of PT's and provides support when needed during treatment Keeps PT's aware of treatment time, when clients arrive and are ready to touch base before leaving, and administering functional questionnaires when required Communicates with grace and empathy Makes communication with patients the number one priority Takes interest in the patients and makes opportunities to brighten their day Servanthood Exemplify servant attitude in bedside manner working with clients (voice, tone and body language) and find ongoing ways to improve client experience such as offering water, providing a blanket, etc. Serve and support teammates and clients in ways that improve clinic culture and advance the mission and vision of the company 2. Resource Management Completes all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks Maintains a clean and organized workspace Organizes/stocks therapy equipment and modality carts (therapist baskets, towels, stim units) Takes inventory of supplies for monthly clinic order Maintains equipment to ensure safe usage (treatment tables, heavy equipment, etc.)
Job Requirements:
Must be available to work an 8 hour shift Monday through Friday with open availability between 7:00am to 6:30pm. Typical shifts range from 7:00am-4:00pm, 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm. Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to tolerate standing and walking for up to 8 hours Ability to tolerate frequent, repeated bending and lifting up to 65 lbs
Education and Experience:
Education or experience with customer service preferred Education in Exercise Science preferred Basic Life Support certified is a plus

$14.00 - $19.00 per hour
