Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist Regions Hospital United States, Minnesota, St. Paul Sep 02, 2026 Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist Regions Hospital is looking to hire a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team! Position Summary:
The cardiopulmonary therapist will be responsible for obtaining diagnostic information used to evaluate patients for heart disease by performing various non-invasive cardiac testing. The therapist performs and documents functions such as carrying out the physician's medical orders, providing a safe and therapeutic environment, coordinating, communicating, interpreting, and explaining patient care services to the patient, his/her family and other health professionals. The therapist participates in the inpatient and outpatient treatment of patients sustaining cardiovascular and/or pulmonary disease with related conditions. The therapist oversees the patient's exercise program, evaluates their response to exercise and provides patient/family member education. The therapist works collaboratively in the pacemaker/ICD/EP clinic to manage remote monitoring systems, assist with reprogramming of Pacemakers/ICD's. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts with varying start times. Saturday/Sunday 4 hour shifts every 7th weekend.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Bachelor's degree in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology/Exercise Science, or physical education.
Experience:
None
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
If clinical background is RN, PT, OT, current MN licensure is required.
BCLS and ACLS certification required within 6 month
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to accurately assess heart rate and blood pressures.
Ability to accurately read and interpret ECG rhythms and ischemic changes.
Knowledge of contraindications for stress testing and of exercise progression and prescription for the cardiopulmonary patient.
Ability to educate patients on various health related topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Master's degree
Previous clinical cardiology experience
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Advanced Cardiology technologist registry or registry eligible (CCDS, RCIS, RECS)
