Jackson, MS Overview Job Summary Provides exercise programs. Assists with daily program operation including tours, enrolling participants, handling money, and customer service. Acts as a personal trainer for clients. Teaches proper exercise technique. Counsels clients based on fitness needs. Develops fitness programs based on client needs. Services include fitness assessment, exercise prescription, exercise supervision, and fitness class instruction. Work requires decision-making skills, emergency medical skills, supervisory skills, written and verbalmunication skills. Incumbent should strive to be physically fit and live a healthy lifestyle to be a role model for the clients. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health, and healing. • Displays knowledge of fitness assessment techniques, acceptable fitness levels and exercise prescription.
• Provides direction and supervision of clients who are exercising.
• Meets educational needs of clients andmunity.
• Maintains ananized, safe, clean, and efficient exercise environment.
• Completes assgned administrative and accounting duties.
• Contributes to the development of staff and students.
• Completes assigned goals.

Specifications Experience Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired 1 year experience preferred Entry level 1 year experience. Education Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Skill inmunicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties. Able to understand and prepare moderatelyplex written materials, such as client records. Ability tomunicate verbally with other employees, physicians and other professionals. Specilaized training and/or certification related to practice setting. Completion of a BS degree in Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation, or similar program. Training Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Training preferred Arthritis Foundation Certification, ANA Rehab Certification, CSCS Certification, MES Certification, or APTA Rehab Certification. Special Skills Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Basicputer literacy skills. Licensure Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired BLS certification within 14 days of hire date ing Relationships Does this position formally supervise employees?
