Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Exercise Physiologist/Exercise Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will develop and implement personalized exercise programs tailored to patients with diverse health conditions, particularly those with Cancer and chronic diseases. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through evidence-based exercise interventions, health coaching, and comprehensive patient assessments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by promoting active lifestyles and supporting recovery and chronic disease management. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, body mechanics, and functional capacity evaluations. Develop and implement customized exercise rehabilitation programs for cancer care patients, ensuring safety and effectiveness. Provide health coaching focused on lifestyle modifications, chronic disease management, and improving overall wellness. Operate emergency equipment such as Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using electronic health record systems like Epic to document patient progress and care plans effectively. Educate patients on anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to their condition to foster understanding and engagement in their care. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Exercise Science, Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred. Certification as an Exercise Physiologist or Exercise Specialist from recognized organizations (e.g., ACSM, NSCA). Or be in process of getting a certification Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are a plus. Strong client communication skills with an emphasis on patient service and education. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
