Project Walk New Jersey Adaptive Neuro Trainer Job Description Project Walk New Jersey is seeking a PASSIONATE and SKILLED Adaptive Neuro Trainer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work one-on-one with clients who have spinal cord injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions. You will design and implement customized neuro exercise programs, focusing on functional movement, strength, coordination, and overall well-being.

Adaptive Neuro Trainers Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical abilities, limitations, and goals Develop and implement personalized neuro exercise programs targeting strength, mobility, balance, and coordination Adapt exercises based on clients' progress and changing needs Provide physical assistance and cueing during exercises to promote proper movement patterns Utilize advance techniques and state of the art equipment to facilitate neuroplasticity and functional recovery Track client progress, document sessions, and update treatment plans accordingly Take pictures and videos for training and marketing purposes Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach Educate clients and their families on exercise strategies, home programs, and the importance of consistency Foster a supportive and motivating environment

Adaptive Neuro Trainers Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Exercise Science, Physiology or Kinesiology Certification as a Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Neuro Exercise Specialist or Adaptive Fitness Trainer preferred Experience working with individuals with neurological conditions (spinal cord injuries, stroke, TBI, etc.) is highly desirable Strong knowledge in neuroplasticity, and functional recovery principles Ability to safely end effectively assist clients with transfers, range of motion exercises, and gait training Excellent communication, empathy, and motivational skills

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation), bodyweight-supported gait training, and other neurorehabilitation technologies Experience with assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and mobility aids CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Why join us?
