  • As a Group Exercise Instructor specializing in working with people with disabilities, your primary role is to create inclusive and accessible fitness programs that cater to individuals with various physical and cognitive disabilities.
You will be responsible for designing and leading exercise classes that promote physical fitness, improve mobility, and enhance the overall well-being of participants with disabilities. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications:

Develop customized exercise programs that consider the specific needs and abilities of participants with disabilities. Adapt exercises and equipment as necessary. 2. Lead group exercise classes, providing clear and precise instructions to participants. Ensure a safe and supportive environment. 3. Foster an inclusive atmosphere where participants of all abilities feel welcome and encouraged to participate. 4. Conduct initial assessments of participants' fitness levels and track their progress over time. 5. Modify exercises and routines based on individual participants' capabilities and goals. 6. Prioritize safety and be prepared to respond to emergencies, including knowledge of CPR and first aid. 7.Maintain open communication with participants, their caregivers, and any relevant healthcare professionals.

  • Deep understanding of various disabilities, their impact on physical health, and adaptive exercise techniques.
Possess empathy, patience, and a positive attitude when working with individuals with disabilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with participants and their support networks. Ability to adapt and modify exercise plans on the fly to accommodate different needs and abilities. Collaborate with other instructors, healthcare providers, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to participants' well-being. Be culturally sensitive and aware of the diverse backgrounds and needs of participants. This job requires a deep commitment to promoting health and wellness for individuals with disabilities, as well as the ability to create a supportive and inclusive fitness environment.
