8 Req #: 12262 Position Summary The Exercise Specialist implements the comprehensive outpatient Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab program, which also includes the maintenance program. The exercise specialist also serves as a resource for both the hospital and the community. Core Duties and Responsibilities- Oversees the activities of patients participating in the cardiac, pulmonary rehab and maintenance programs
- Documents in a clear and legible manner
- Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care
- Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients, family and significant others while providing care Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology
- Previous heart monitoring / telemetry / EKG experience
- Previous experience in exercise & strength training
- Prior Cardio Pulmonary Rehab Experience Preferred
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association; ACLS obtained within one year of employment
- Ability to Walk/Stand and Lift/Push/Pull for Extended Periods of Time
- Medical Terminology Experience
Strong Interpersonal/Organizational/Communication Skills Salary Range:
