FITNESS SPECIALIST AT LIFEWORKS OF SOUTHWEST GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Fitness Specialists provide professional customer service to members by conducting screenings, fitness assessments, exercise prescriptions and more while proactively circulating the fitness floor. Keeping a clean, safe environment is also a priority of the Fitness Instructors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree program for exercise physiology or related field required.
Required length of experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience at a fitness facility required. A competent knowledge of exercise principles, fitness testing, health risk and fitness program design is essential to success. Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills are also required. Required licensure, certification, and/or registry: CPR certification required. Personal training certification with one of the following agencies is required and may be obtained within 6 months of hire: ACE, NSCA, NATA, NASM, AFAA, ISSA, IFPA, NCSF, NFPT, ACSM
