Job Description

Senior Exercise Analyst Valiant Integrated Services United States, Virginia, Kingstowne Aug 11, 2026 Valiant is looking for a Senior Exercise Analyst to join our team! The Senior Exercise Analyst will provide expertise and analytical support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's (DTRA) Training and Exercise Division to plan and conduct internal DTRA training and exercise events, as well as supporting planning, execution, and assessment of DTRA support to external combatant command and interagency events
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop training and exercise plans Develop current, realistic CWMD threat exercise scenarios Develop and provide scripting expertise for JTP exercises throughout the Joint Exercise Lifecycle. Develop Master Scenario Events Listing (MSEL) Develop control cell instructions and guidance Participate alongside DTRA personnel in CCMD joint exercises Support control cell activities Observe, analyze, assess, and document lessons learned in after-action reports Manage events and requirements in the Joint Training System applications (JTIMS / JLLIS) Provide expertise on joint training processes and procedures Assist in curricula design, exercise design and development Provide training event facilitation Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
REQUIRED QUALIFCIATIONS
5+ years of practical experience 3+ years of experience with DTRA mission areas (such as CWMD, Countering Threat Networks, and Countering Improvised Threats) Expertise with the DOD Joint Training System (CJCSM 3500 series) and Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Exercise Program, Combatant Commanders Exercises, or National Exercise Program Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to perform tasks under deadlines, many of which may be short-turn in nature Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills Ability to interact with employees from other departments or groups Ability to work at a computer for extended periods Ability to travel unaccompanied to foreign and domestic locations
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior Department of Defense environment experience Prior DTRA experience Working Knowledge of the DoD Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) Working Knowledge of the DoD Joint Training Tool (JTT) Expertise with Microsoft Office tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
