Job Description

Job description Hiring Exercise Physiologist to work 5 days per week, 8 hours paid each day. There is the possibility of extension (pending budget confirmation)
Position:
Exercise Physiologist This is a 40 hour per week position, schedule TBD, for an exercise physiologist, licensed athletic trainer, or individual of similar background. Flexibility in scheduling is
REQUIRED
for night and weekend work. Responsibilities
  • Implement injury prevention strategies such as individual and group conditioning, functional assessments and body mechanics coaching.
  • Health consultation
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology or similar
  • Preferred one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
  • Active California driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology
  • Minimum of one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus
  • Advanced affinity for technology Physical Requirements of the job:
  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
  • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
  • Possess fine motor skills for effective and effici ent handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
NOTE:
No candidate passes thru if they can not work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday); nor any candidate that may have a hard stop at 5pm daily. There will be occasional evening hours that will be scheduled
