Starting at $19/ hour depending on experience
Schedule:
8 hour shift, 10 hour shift Job description- Exercise Technician We are seeking a support staff member integral to daily operations of the clinic to assist in implementation of patient care and exercise programs. He/she is also responsible for gym operations, facility and laundry management, as well as being the primary back up for receptionist duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitates and assists with patient care as instructed and supervised by the clinician. Includes helping to manage patient flow within the clinic, direction of exercise programs, monitoring patient needs and direct reporting to appropriate therapists. Maintenance of cleanliness and safety of gym area and equipment, treatment rooms, mat/treatment tables, modality carts and hot pack machines. Laundry management to include changing and washing of linens, folding and stocking of treatment rooms, tracking and reporting needed supplies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional customer service skills, some clerical including phone and computer skills preferred, as well HIPAA awareness and compliance. Ability to establish priorities, work independently and as a team, and proceed with objectives without supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Know how to demonstrate and explain a concept or exercise so that it is understood by patients of all demographics and age. Ability to direct a patient with clear instructions as well as receive and follow instructions with clear communication.
Credentials and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required Personal experience in physical fitness knowledge is a plus. College level course work with focus in human movement, athletic training, kinesiology/exercise physiology strongly preferred. No phone calls please- reply with resume and include 3 references.
