360 Responder Health is seeking a Functional Movement & Exercise Testing Specialist to support comprehensive occupational health evaluations for firefighters and other public safety professionals. This position will primarily conduct Functional Movement Screens (FMS) and will be cross-trained to assist with cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) and other components of the 360 medical evaluation. Key Responsibilities Conduct standardized Functional Movement Screens (FMS) and accurately document results. Identify movement limitations and provide standardized corrective exercise recommendations consistent with 360 protocols. Educate firefighters on movement, mobility, injury prevention, and physical readiness. Prepare participants and equipment for testing and ensure appropriate testing procedures are followed. Cross-train to conduct/support cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) under established clinical protocols and appropriate medical oversight. Obtain and document exercise testing measurements, including heart rate, blood pressure, perceived exertion, and other required testing data. Recognize abnormal responses or symptoms during exercise testing and immediately escalate concerns according to clinical protocols. Conduct other fitness, mobility, body composition, or occupational-health assessments as needed. Accurately enter results into the electronic medical record. Maintain testing equipment, supplies, infection-control procedures, and quality-control standards. Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, exercise professionals, and clinic leadership. Cross-train for additional clinic tasks as needed Participate in patient follow-up Manage paperwork effectively Other duties assigned as determined by clinic staff and leadership Minimum Qualifications Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to independent testing. Ability to complete required Functional Movement Screen certification/training if not already certified. Knowledge of biomechanics or kinesiology, exercise physiology, anatomy, movement assessment, and basic cardiovascular responses to exercise. Comfortable working with physically active populations and conducting exercise-based assessments. Ability to accurately follow standardized testing protocols and document clinical data. Ability and willingness to complete 360's CPET training and competency process, including ACLS, before independently performing assigned CPET responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications ACSM Fitness Leader certification, PT-A, related work experience, or bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Biomechanics) or equivalent combination of education and work experience FMS Level 1 certification. ACSM Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP), ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP), or comparable credential. Experience administering graded exercise tests, VO₂ testing, metabolic testing, or CPET. Experience obtaining manual blood pressure during exercise. Experience working in occupational health, sports medicine, cardiac rehabilitation, human performance, or firefighter/public-safety settings. Experience working within a medical or multidisciplinary clinical team. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between human performance and clinical healthcare .
