Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and clinical evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and other evidence-based practices. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing issues such as grief, trauma, PTSD, behavioral challenges, developmental disabilities, gender issues, and co-occurring disorders. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or emergencies. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educational staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Requirements Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution. Preferred valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCISW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or equivalent. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with residential environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques such as psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavioral health interventions. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10) for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing processes. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; experience with telehealth therapy is highly desirable. Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards including EMR/EHR systems; experience with HIPAA compliance is essential. Additional skills in addiction counseling, grief counseling, medical records management, trauma-focused therapy, pediatric care, special education settings, Geriatrics, psychopharmacology, or gender issues counseling are considered advantageous. $52,448.73 - $63,164.07 per year
