Job Description

Primary Therapist The Emergence Scottsdale Scottsdale, AZ Job Details Full-time $68,000 - $80,000 a year 19 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Qualifications Master's degree Experience working with individuals with trauma-related disorders Group counseling Group therapy instruction Full Job Description Full-Time Therapist — Trauma & Nervous System Regulation Emergence | Scottsdale, AZ | Full-Time About Us Emergence is a mental health intensive outpatient program built around a simple idea: mental health symptoms often live in the body, not just the mind. We specialize in nervous system regulation for people carrying post-traumatic stress and high-functioning stress disorders — the ones who look fine on the outside while running on empty. Most programs treat the mind and assume the body is someone else's problem. Ours doesn't. We look at the physical health factors that can drive or intensify psychological symptoms — and we treat what we find there as clinically relevant information, not background noise. We work with adults experiencing post-traumatic stress, anxiety and depression, burnout in high-achieving professionals, ADHD, technology and screen addiction, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. The Role We're hiring a full-time therapist to carry a mixed caseload of individual clients and IOP group facilitation. You'll work alongside our clinical team on an integrated treatment plan for every client — not in a silo. What you'll do: Provide individual therapy to IOP clients using trauma-informed, body-based approaches Facilitate and co-facilitate process and psychoeducational groups Complete intake assessments, treatment planning, and progress documentation Collaborate with our psychiatric and clinical team in weekly case consultation Contribute to the ongoing development of our nervous system regulation curriculum
Who We're Looking For Required:
Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field Arizona licensure — associate or independent (LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT) Experience with trauma-focused clinical work Comfort facilitating groups, or genuine interest in developing that skill Strongly preferred: Clinical experience treating PTSD and complex PTSD (C-PTSD) EMDR trained or certified Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, or comparable somatic training Brainspotting certification Other trauma modality certifications (IFS, ART, CPT, Polyvagal-informed practice) Prior IOP, PHP, or higher-level-of-care experience Experience with perinatal mental health, ADHD, or behavioral addictions If you're trauma-trained but not certified in the specific modalities above, we still want to hear from you. We'd rather find the right clinician and support their training than screen for credentials alone. Why Emergence Integrated care that's real. Whole-person health is part of the clinical picture here, not a referral you never hear back from. A trauma-specialized caseload. You'll go deep in the work you actually trained for. Room to build. We're growing, and clinicians here shape the program rather than inheriting a manual. We invest in our clinicians development. We will cover the cost of relevant clinical trainings. To Apply Send your resume and a short note about your clinical approach to . Emergence is an equal opportunity employer.
