Job Description

Licensed Clinical Social Worker /
Licensed Marriage and Family TherapistLocation:
Crescent City, CAPay:
$2,800-$3,400/week, based on license and experience
Schedule:
Full-time contractCare Career is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for a full-time contract opportunity in a correctional healthcare setting in Crescent City, CA.This role provides mental health services to adult patients in a secure facility setting. The clinician will complete assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, documentation, and ongoing clinical support as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical assessments and mental health services to assigned patients
  • Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Provide crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and clinical support as needed
  • Participate in interdisciplinary communication with medical, mental health, and custody teams
  • Maintain professional boundaries and follow all facility policies and procedures
  • Support patients with serious mental illness, adjustment concerns, trauma, substance use history, and other behavioral health needs
Requirements:
  • Active California LCSW or LMFT license
  • Minimum 12 months of recent experience preferred
  • BLS certification preferred or required by facility
  • Ability to work in a correctional/secure healthcare environment
  • Must be able to complete required onboarding, background clearance, and facility compliance requirements
  • Strong documentation, communication, and crisis intervention skills

  • Substance use or co-occurring disorders
  • Serious mental illness
  • Forensic or high-acuity behavioral health settings
Compensation:
Pay ranges from $2,800-$3,400 per week based on license, experience, and assignment details.
