Job Description

We are a nationally accredited Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program for boys whose ages range from 6 to 12 years. We provide treatment to at risk children who have been abused, abandoned, and/or neglected. We are seeking an LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, APCC, ACSW and /or AMFT to fill a significant position in our Mental Health Department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with at risk children who have experienced abuse, neglect and those who are victims of sexual abuse and or sexual exploitation. He or she will be compassionate, trustworthy, self- motivated and passionate about working with children to promote healing.
Essential Functions:
Demonstrate an understanding of
TRAUMA INFORMED, PERSON CENTERED
service delivery Assess clients at intake and then quarterly there after to create an effective treatment plan that takes into account the unique needs of the clients. Accurately document assessments results and use information to formulate needs and services plans, safety plans and permanency plans Work with clients to develop goals for behavior modification Skilled in usage of systemic therapy models Schedule and facilitate individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy sessions Provide intensive care coordination service Provide crisis interventions as needed Participate in CFT meetings Write daily/weekly progress notes for therapy sessions and mental health services that best meet the needs of the clients Collaborate with community members public and private to access additional resources Complete quarterly progress notes and court reports Collaborate with treatment team members, direct care staff and placing agency staff to ensure treatment plans are consistent and relevant Monitor visits between client and family (caregivers), intervene as necessary Help client and family establish boundaries and communication that are beneficial to the treatment plan design Understand and respond to a diverse population Maintain a professional, confidential work environment • Understand and adhere to the Mission and Vision of Father's Heart Ranch Must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement Knowledge of CPS reporting mandates and limits of confidentiality Must be empathetic and have good listening , social and communication skills Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience:
Master's Degree in Psychology or related social science Licensed or registered with BBS Current unrestricted licensure in the state of California Must have at least 2 year of experience in a clinical setting The successful applicant must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, must have a current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
