Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-focused interventions. Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes, including crisis management and behavior management techniques. Facilitate telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure EMR/EHR platforms to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations. Document all clinical encounters accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of medical records and compliance with legal guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with advancements in mental health treatments, ICD coding updates, and clinical ethical guidelines. Experience Valid licensure as a Mental Health Licensed Therapist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW or equivalent) with active state certification. Demonstrated experience delivering psychotherapy across diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or hospital environments. Proven expertise working with children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or individuals with co-occurring disorders. Hands-on experience conducting mental health assessments using DSM-5 criteria and ICD coding systems; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes. Strong background in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care—including PTSD care—and grief counseling. Experience working within clinical documentation standards using EMR/EHR systems; familiarity with medical terminology and medical records management. Knowledge of telehealth best practices combined with excellent client communication skills to foster trust and engagement remotely.
