Description Position Overview Family Matters Health Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Kingsburg, California. Our dedicated outpatient office specializes in aiding individuals who have experienced trauma, focusing on conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment for our patients, allowing them to feel comfortable as they navigate their healing journeys. Work Environment This role will operate primarily in a remote setting, providing flexibility while allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of their homes. The clinic follows a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be required based on patient needs. Our approach emphasizes a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and open communication among staff. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and current mental health needs, ensuring that the most effective treatment strategies are identified. Develop tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and resilience, integrating evidence-based practices that cater to individual patient goals. Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions. Lead group therapy sessions, creating an interactive and supportive environment for shared healing among participants. Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for all patients, addressing every aspect of their well-being. Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies. Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and resources available for ongoing support. Ensure meticulous and confidential documentation practices in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines. Actively participate in professional development opportunities and case consultations to enhance knowledge in trauma-informed care. Stay abreast of the latest research and therapeutic modalities in trauma treatment to continually improve client outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma in various forms, including but not limited to childhood abuse, domestic violence, and military combat. This population often deals with PTSD, anxiety, and dissociative disorders, and requires a therapist who is trained and sensitive to the complexities of trauma and its effects on mental health. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will be critical in guiding these patients towards recovery. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California. A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, with a commitment to ongoing professional development. Exceptional interpersonal skills, exhibiting empathy and a non-judgmental attitude while working with patients. Ability to maintain professionalism under stress and stay focused in fast-paced situations. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology. Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Candidates with a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy are preferred. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will enhance your application. Familiarity with community resources and referral networks will be advantageous in providing comprehensive support to our clients. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
