Work Environment This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a remote setting, ensuring flexibility while focusing on patient-centered care. As part of our outpatient office, you will be working collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals to implement and tailor effective treatment strategies. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment methods. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and enhancing resilience. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid patients in their healing journey. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma and adopt effective coping strategies. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all patients. Effectively respond to trauma-related crises by providing immediate support and intervention as needed. Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to empower them in their recovery. Maintain clear and confidential documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines. Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions centered on trauma-informed practices. Stay engaged with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic approaches used within the center. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient population primarily comprises individuals impacted by traumatic experiences, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and violence. Our focus is on addressing the specific psychological needs associated with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociation, providing specialized support that is integral to our therapeutic approach. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of California. Strong interpersonal and communication skills accompanied by a non-judgmental, compassionate approach to therapy. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress scenarios. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to manage patient information effectively. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably dealing with trauma-focused treatment modalities. Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with resilience-building approaches. Experience delivering evidence-based trauma-focused therapies greatly preferred. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from
USD 90,000
