ABA Behavior Therapist - San Jacinto/ Homeland Evenings Beacon Behavior Consultants - 4.0 San Jacinto, CA Job Details Part-time $18 - $25 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Paid time off Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications RBT Certification CPR Certification Customer service Experience working with individuals with autism High school diploma or GED Driver's License Experience working with children Education First Aid Certification Driving Full Job Description ABA Behavior Therapist Roles and Responsibilities The ABA Behavior Therapist (BT) is responsible for implementing 1:1 direct ABA therapy service in the clients' homes or via tele-health as allowed by insurance. The BT will be utilizing different ABA teaching methods and techniques such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Naturalistic Teaching (NT), etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with 1:1 assigned client utilizing ABA techniques and strategies. The BT will work under the supervision of the Clinical Supervision and BCBA in a 3-tier model system.
- Take data collection on an ABA software daily.
- Continuously monitor client progress.
- Utilize safe and appropriate ABA strategies when working with their clients.
- Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as listed below is preferred but not required. All employees are given a full training prior to working 1:1 with our clients. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in Psychology, Education/Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and related field preferred. Bachelor's degree in progress is accepted. RBT Certification desired. Two (2) years of professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written), and the ability to provide feedback in a constructive manner. Knowledgeable of evidence-based practices and scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit children with ASD, familiar with current research findings. Familiar with the approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), Functional Communication Training (FCT), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA). Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies. Strong clinical, administrative, and leadership skills; customer service orientated and professional. Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills with a variety of individuals and groups. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and related computer software.REQUIREMENTS
Valid CPR and First Aid Certification (Can be obtained during onboarding process) Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance and obtain immunizations (TB clearance). Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver's license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration Must be willing to travel to assigned work sites (25-35 minutes from home).BENEFITS
