Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Location:
San Quentin, CA Pay:
$74-$78/hour, based on license and local/travel statusSchedule:
Full-time contract Care Career is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for a full-time contract opportunity in a correctional healthcare setting in San Quentin, CA. This role provides mental health services to adult patients in a secure facility setting. The clinician will complete assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, documentation, and ongoing clinical support as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.Responsibilities:
Provide clinical assessments and mental health services to assigned patients- Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and required documentation
- Provide crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments as needed
- Support patients with serious mental illness, trauma, substance use history, and other behavioral health needs
- Communicate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
- Maintain professional boundaries and follow all facility policies and procedures
Requirements:
Active California LCSW or LMFT license- Minimum 12 months of recent clinical experience preferred
- BLS certification preferred or required by facility
- Ability to work in a correctional/secure healthcare environment
- Must be able to complete required onboarding, background clearance, and facility compliance requirements
- Strong documentation, communication, and crisis intervention skills

Correctional healthcare- Community mental health
- Crisis intervention
- Substance use or co-occurring disorders
- Serious mental illness or high-acuity behavioral health settings
