Job Description

Job Overview ​We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and motivated Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our team on a part-time basis (full-time after the first of the year). This position is ideal for an associate looking to supplement their current schedule, manage other commitments, or steadily build clinical hours in a supportive environment. ​You will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, working approximately 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule. ​Key Responsibilities ​
Clinical Caseload:
Conduct weekly therapy sessions (minimum of 10 face-to-face contacts clinical hours/week) for individuals, couples, families, or groups. ​
Documentation:
Maintain timely and accurate clinical records, including intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans, in compliance with legal and ethical standards. ​
Treatment Planning:
Develop, implement, and review treatment plans tailored to client needs. ​
Crisis Management :
Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as required. ​
Collaboration:
Participate in mandatory clinical supervision and team meetings (in addition to 10-hour workweek). ​ Schedule & Commitment ​
Hours:
11-12 hours per week (includes clinical contact, and supervision). ​
Flexibility:
Flexible scheduling options available (e.g., evenings or weekends), but consistency is required to maintain client continuity. ​
Format:
Primarily in-person, though both remote/hybrid are acceptable on a case-by-case basis ​ Qualifications & Requirements ​
Education:
Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. ​
Licensure:
Active registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with the state licensing board (California BBS) and in good standing. ​
Experience:
Experience working with children, teens, couples, anxiety/depression is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is essential. ​
Skills:
Strong ethical boundaries and knowledge of professional codes of conduct. ​Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clinical documentation. ​Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. We use SimplePractice and will provide you with training, ​ What We Offer ​
Supervision:
Weekly individual or triadic clinical supervision provided by a licensed supervisor with no fee. ​
Compensation:
50% of fee for each client seen (starting fee is $100 per hour, which is $40-$50/hour before taxes). There is compensation for no-shows/late cancelations, though this is determined on a case-by-case basis. ​
