  • $26 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Flexible spending account Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Experience working with individuals with autism Vietnamese High school diploma or GED Driver's License Teaching Full Job Description 1st Step Learning Partners is hiring enthusiastic, energetic and creative behavioral therapist to provide one-to-one services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families in home and community settings.
Job Title:
Behavioral therapist (Vietnamese-speaking is a plus, but not required).
Location:
Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Westminster, Santa Ana, Anaheim, and surrounding areas (North OC) This position can be part-time or full-time depending on employee's availability and preferences.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • competitive hourly compensation: $20
  • 26 per hour depending on experience
  • compensation for travel time and mileage between clients
  • FREE supervision hours offered for individuals pursuing certification (No contract)

Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by a supervising BCBA
  • Provide 1:1 direct therapy with clients in structured and natural environments
  • Teach communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills
  • Conduct skill acquisition programs using ABA methodologies (e.g., discrete trial training, natural environment teaching)
  • Follow behavior support plans consistently and accurately
  • record objective daily data to reflect client progress toward goals
  • maintain objective daily session notes
  • maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal clinical instructions
  • Vietnamese-speaking is a plus, but not required.
  • Current California driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proof of car insurance
  • Willingness to submit fingerprints for background check and pass the background check (Clear DOJ Fingerprint)
  • TB clearance Physical Requirements (Essential Functions)
  • Regularly sit, stand, bend, kneel, squat, and change positions throughout the session
  • Move quickly in response to client needs or behaviors when required for safety
  • May assist in safe physical redirection or blocking of behaviors when trained and when included in behavior plans
  • Lift, carry, and move therapy materials and supplies as needed
  • Ability to work with clients of varying ages and lift at least 20lbs; move, lift, or transfer clients; stand for extended periods; bend, kneel, crouch, walk, and run; use fine motor skills and dexterity in both hands, grasping, and holding
