Job Description
Are you a compassionate therapist working toward licensure and looking for a supportive, growth-oriented environment? Adult & Pediatric Counseling Specialists PLLC (APCS) is a group practice serving individuals, couples, and families in Connecticut. We value collaboration, work-life balance, and providing excellent clinical supervision.
Ideal Candidate:
Associate licensed therapist (LMFTA, LMSW or LPCA) who can provide services to a minimum of 20 clients per week (weekday hours from 4 pm until 8 pm and Saturdays from 9 am until 2 pm). Two years of experience is preferred but not necessary. You must provide consistent, dependable, high-quality counseling to ensure client retention. You must be extremely professional and reliable, exercise good judgment and possess excellent writing skills. You must complete accurate clinical notes and treatment plans in our Electronic Health Records (EHR). You must adhere to all CT laws and ethical codes for the profession. You will meet with patients in person (occasional telehealth is considered).Areas of Treatment Include:
Psychotherapy (tween, teen, family, adult, and couples). Academic underperformance and socialization skill development. Trauma-informed, gender-specific care, and post-traumatic growth. Couples/co-parenting communication. Addiction recovery and prevention. Anxiety, depression, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Blended family support and education.What We Offer Full-Time Employees:
